SARAJEVO WAS RANKED AMONG THE 100 TOP DESTINATIONS FOR INVESTING

The publication City Leaders for 2011 issued by the organizations Property EU and MIPIM World dealing at the global level for development of the real estate market and the main data base for investors worldwide, ranked the city of Sarajevo among the 100 European cities which represent a part of joint market for international investors.
 
Exceptional geographic position, climate, geological, demographic and microeconomic characteristics make Sarajevo the centre of public administration and business. Besides, Sarajevo is currently undergoing major infrastructure renewal.

FARMING IN BIH
 
According to a World Bank  recently published study, the good climactic conditions and low land and labour prices are more favourable for farming in BiH than anywhere elsewhere in Southern Europe.
 
Combined with relatively low shipping costs, they should make Bosnia’s agriculture "well positioned to compete at the export markets".


IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
 
According to the latest amendments to the Law on Foreign Direct Investments in BiH, the foreign investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina registers his company only at a competent Municipal Court, unlike the previous procedure predicting the company registration firstly at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and then at a competent Court.
This measure shortens and improves the registration procedure of the foreign company in BiH.

FOUR SBK MUNICIPALITIES TO REALIZE PROJECT "UTILIZATION OF WIND FARM"
Four Central Bosnia municipalities, Travnik, Vitez, Jajce and Dobretici, are planning realization of a joint project of "Utilization of Wind Farm" which includes construction of 14 wind power plants, 10 in the area of Travnik, with annual production of about 900 megawatt of electricity.

BIH FURNITURE AT BRITISH MARKET
According to the owner of furniture manufacturer "Urban", the representatives of six BiH furniture companies, at a fair in Birmingham, held from 22nd to 26th January, established cooperation with a British firm which will deal with selling their furniture.
