The Director of the
Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Marko
Kubatlija had a meeting with the Ambassador of Algeria to Bosnia and
Herzegovina, H.E. Mohammed Meraimi, to discuss the enhancement of mutual
cooperation.
FIPA was presented on
this occasion, including its core tasks and objectives, as well as the economic
potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Ambassador
emphasized the significant opportunities for strengthening cooperation, both in
the field of investments and in trade exchange. It was highlighted that Algeria
represents an important gateway to the vast African market, but also that
business communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Algeria still lack
sufficient information about the possibilities for economic cooperation.
In this regard, the
Embassy is planning to organize a business event titled “Open Days with Business
Community on Potentials and Opportunities for Cooperation with Bosnia and
Herzegovina”, which will take place in Sarajevo on April 20, 2026.
It was agreed that FIPA
will be a partner in organizing this event, have a presentation, and invite
companies to participate.
Interest was also
expressed in signing a Memorandum of Understanding between FIPA and the
Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI).
