During an official visit to Algeria, FIPA Director Marko Kubatlija met with Omar Rekkache, Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), to discuss opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Director Kubatlija presented FIPA's activities and the
comprehensive range of services the Agency provides to foreign investors, from
the initial stages of establishing a business to the implementation of
investment projects. He also highlighted Bosnia and Herzegovina's key sectors
with significant investment potential and introduced FIPA's investment project
database.
The meeting was recognized as an important step
towards deepening bilateral cooperation, creating new business opportunities
and encouraging greater investment flows between Bosnia and Herzegovina and
Algeria.

Secretary Dr. Maida Bećirović presented Bosnia and Herzegovina's tax system and
the incentives available to foreign investors. She also announced that a
Memorandum of Understanding between the two agencies is currently being prepared
and is expected to be signed in the near future, providing a formal framework
for closer institutional cooperation.
On
behalf of AAPI, Director General Rekkache presented Algeria's investment
opportunities, with particular emphasis on agriculture, energy, tourism and
mining. He also outlined the Agency's mandate and its role in facilitating and
promoting foreign investment in Algeria.
Both sides assessed the
meeting as highly productive and an important milestone in strengthening
economic relations and promoting future investment cooperation between Bosnia
and Herzegovina and Algeria.
