BBI Center in Sarajevo and Sarajevo Canton received the prestigious award "Restore Award" for best shopping center of Europe, awarded by the jury of the International Council of Shopping Centers at the biggest competition of retail outlets in Europe. The prize is awarded for an exceptional combination of shopping, architecture, design, and contribution to society and the environment in which the center is located. Sarajevo Canton was awarded for actively supporting the construction of the BBI Center. More than 30 shopping centers were nominated for this award in 2011, out of which 18 entered in the finale.

Winning this award for the BBI Centre is a very big success. More than two months has prepared the nomination, and the award is more important considering the fact that this year, the centers of Tallinn, Levekusena and Istanbul were not rewarded. International Council of Shopping Centers is the largest and the most important organization of this type, with headquarters in New York and with around 60,000 members from around the world.

The BBI Construction Centre Investment amounted to 70 million and was opened on 6th April 2009.
