The aim of the project was to improve the competitiveness of Bosnia and Herzegovina by improving existing infrastructure for business.
Within the project nine feasibility studies were prepared including conceptual solutions of the business zones in the municipalities of Bihać, Brčko, Istočno Sarajevo, Laktaši Ljubuški, Mostar, Travnik, Orašje and Teslić, and investment analysis for Banja Luka and Bijeljina.
Municipalities have shown strong commitment to prepare quality investment projects for the local community.
According to the Head of the Operations Section for Economic Development, Natural Resources and Infrastructure in the EU Delegation to BiH Martin Schieder in the past two years, how long was the project, it has shown that there is a real chance for the development of business infrastructure across BiH, and that the investment of 40 million euros could attract up to 150 investors and create 8,000 jobs.
