The Forum on Investing in Hydropower Potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held on 19th April 2012 in Hotel Europe in Sarajevo and on 20th April 2012 in Banja Luka, B&H.
Hydropower energy is the main natural resource of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it represents an important part of the energy capacities. In the last few years in both entities have been granted concessions for hydro power plants, but only some of them have been implemented.
Organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development through the Business Advisory Service Program (BAS) and under the patronage of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Forum on Investing in Hydropower Potentials of B&H will be the place of the meetings of investors, finance experts and representative of the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aim of the Forum is:
• to inform potential investors in the investment hydropower projects on
investment climate and opportunities in B&H
• to provide the latest information on policies development, legislative and regulatory framework for hydropower sector
• to explore the possibility of financing hydropower projects provided by the EBRD and other financial institutions
• to facilitate bilateral meetings on potential hydroelectric projects between the investors, the EBRD and other financial institutions.
